This year’s Fund-A-Need is the Sacred Heart School’s Staff Academy.
The Staff Academy is a professional development program for Sacred Heart School staff, established and funded by the Sacred Heart School Parents Club. The mission of the Academy is to support on-going professional growth by providing quality professional development in the areas of school leadership, instructional methodology, core content, and use of modern technology in order to enrich instruction and enhance student achievement.
The first class at Staff Academy will be “Schools Attuned” from All Kinds of Minds, a non-profit institute for the understanding of differences in learning, scheduled for June 21- 25, 2008.
All Kinds of Minds was founded in 1995 to translate the latest research on how children learn into programs, products, and services that help students struggling in school become more successful learners.
The Schools Attuned Program is designed to reflect the most current, research-based principles of professional development that changes teaching practice and have a positive impact on student outcomes.
